Inshore Fisheries Limited

  Inshore Fisheries Limited is a third generation family owned and operated fish processing and harvesting company. We have in the tumultuous times of today's fishery, diversified into many other areas of the fishery. Once only involved in traditional groundfish species, we are now harvesting silver hake. In addition, we are participating in various government and industry funded surveys.

  It has occurred to us many years ago that the fishery is a very unstable and unpredictable business. The future of the fishery looks even more so. We have decided that as a company we will look to other areas of business opportunities. Our five fishing vessels and management team will be available to your company for any situations that may unfold.

  Our vessels are seasonally situated in Sambro, Port Mouton and West Pubnico. These vessels are between 45 and 63 feet in length and usually carry a crew of 3 to 5. These vessels are manned by extremely competent and experienced captains and crew. In addition, we have a very experienced and qualified on-shore management team to coordinate any situation that may arise. We understand the rapid response time that your company sometimes demands and it is not lost to us the effect we must undertake to satisfy your needs.

  The new interest and development of offshore businesses is an area that we as a company have not taken seriously. It has been to our detriment that we have not realized the huge potential of this fastest growing area of Nova Scotia's economy.
